Korean Pork Stir Fry: Comfort Food While We Wait for Summer

 

Let’s face it—spring is still on the fence, but your tastebuds don’t have to be. This Korean Pork Stir Fry is the spicy, sticky, soul-hugging meal we all need to tide us over until summer finally commits. It’s got bold flavor, a little fire, and that sweet-salty thing we crave. Comfort food? Absolutely.


Ingredients

For the Sauce:

 

For the Stir Fry:

  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 150 g pork, cut into strips
  • 50 g onions, thinly sliced
  • 50 g carrots, thinly sliced
  • Salt & black pepper to taste

To Serve:

  • Steamed rice
  • A fried egg (runny yolk = essential)


Instructions

  1. Sauce it up. Mix gochujang, soy sauce, honey, and Crazy Bastard sauce in a bowl. Set it aside—this is your flavor powerhouse.
  2. Sear the pork. In a hot pan with oil, fry pork strips for about 5 minutes until they start to get crispy edges.
  3. Add veggies. Stir in the onions and carrots. Season lightly with salt and black pepper. Cook another 5 minutes.
  4. Finish strong. Add Crazy Bastard sauce to the pan and stir everything together for one final minute of sizzling glory.
  5. Serve it hot. Spoon the stir fry over rice and top with a fried egg. Let that yolk run—it’s part of the magic.


Pro Tip: Add fresh spring onions or pineapple chunks for bonus brightness!
